From the top on a clear day Mount Katahdin can be seen to the north. Mount Katahdin is Maine’s highest mountain. To the southeast Nova Scotia can also be seen. Both of these locations are over 100 miles away. The 3.5 mile road by which Cadillac Mountain is accessible is closed from December 1 through April 14. Weather conditions, such as extreme fog or ice, may cause the narrow and winding road to close on other days as well.
