Saddleback Ski Area – Rangeley, ME
Maine Ski Areas & Resorts
Saddleback, which is 220 miles from Boston, MA and 125 miles from Portland, ME, is one of Maine’s best kept secrets. It is located in the Rangeley Lakes region far from the bustling crowds. There is a separate area that is perfect for beginners, intermediates have several nicely groomed cruisers to choose from, and experts can find challenge on some of New England’s toughest terrain. Saddleback has increased its terrain by 44% since 2003, replaced its grooming fleet, and greatly expanded the snowmaking. More improvements are planned.
Although Saddleback delivers big mountain skiing, lift ticket prices are quite reasonable. Saddleback is a good choice for the value-conscious skier looking for some old-time New England skiing. Amenities include; a new base lodge, ski learning center, ski retail and rentals shop, foood court, Pub, wireless internet access, ATM, and day care.
