Welcome to beautiful Berwick, Maine. Berwick was originally part of Kittery, Maine, Berwick was incorporated in 1713 and is the ninth oldest town in Maine. The first schoolhouse in Maine was built in Berwick in 1719.

The southern and northern parts of Berwick eventually split off to form their own townships in 1814 and 1831. Berwick lies on the Salmon Falls River, on the NH and Maine border directly across from Somersworth, NH.
