There are several ways to get to and from Portland International Jetport. Getting around the Portland area
There are taxis and rental cars available at the airport. Many of the car and limo services require reservations to be made in advance so keep that in mind.
Driving to the Portland International Jetport from Maine Turnpike
(North or South)
Coming from the north or south, take Turnpike Exit 46. Go through the toll booth and turn right. The Jetport entrance is straight ahead.
From Interstate 295
When coming from the north on 295, after passing downtown Portland, take the exit marked Congress Street 5B. You will now be on Route 22 (Congress Street). Continue west past the Westgate Shopping Center. From there, go 1.3 miles to the Jetport entrance which will be on your left.
From Western Maine and the White Mountain Region
Follow Route 25 East into Westbrook to the intersection of Route 25 and Larrabee Road in Westbrook (McDonald’s will be to your left). Turn left onto Larrabee Road and follow to the next traffic light. The entrance to the Maine Turnpike is straight ahead. Take the Turnpike to Exit 46 (approx. 2 miles). Exit Turnpike and turn right. The Jetport entrance is straight ahead.
Both Amtrak and Concord Trailways run out of Portland via the Portland Transportation Center.
The Portland Explorer connects Portland International Jetport with the Portland Transportation Center, where a train or bus connection can be made. The shuttle also provides transport to some of the attractions in the Portland area.
Mermaid Transportation Service provides transportation between Logan Airport in Boston, MA; Manchester Airport in Manchester, NH; and Portland, ME.
The Intercity Bus and the Zoom Bus both run within Portland and the surrounding towns.
