We found PYO Maine Wild Blueberry Farms in Downeast Maine. Wild blueberries are not planted, but tended to, and encouraged to grow in a healthy and supportable way. The glacial fields and barrens of Maine provide an ideal combination of soil and climate which enables these vitamin-packed berries to flourish for thousands of years. Wild blueberry crops are maintained by farmers who own the land they grow on, and many farmers have been doing so for generations. Open in dry weather August and September. Pick your own wild blueberries using your rakes or ours. Winnow and pick over the berries using a modern cleaning machine.

Late June through September, Wednesday – Sunday from noon to 5 pm, or call for appointment. Nationally known preserves are available at the farm, together with fresh fruits and vegetables, picked while you wait, or you can pick your own. Fall storage crops also available.
