Located on the New Hampshire border in Oxford county, the small town of Stow, Maine was first incorporated in 1833 and was once home to the Pequaket Indians. The heart of Stow is where the Cold River enters Maine from New Hampshire, and it is within easy access to Kezar Lake. Stow sees many travelers each year, as it lies on Maine Scenic Byway Route 113.
