Robbinston, Maine is located on the southeastern edge of Washington County, on the border of New Brunswick, Canada. During the Civil War, Robbinston was home to a significant shipbuilding center and launched many vessels throughout the war. Robbinston was also the birthplace of Laurence Trimble, a leading film director who made over a hundred silent films between 1910 and 1926.
