First incorporated in 1824, the small Maine town of Medford has gone through several incorporations and disincorporations throughout its time, with the most recent reincorporation occuring in 1957. Medford is divided down the middle by the Piscataquis River. Along with Bowerbank, Atkinson, Brownville, Lake View, LaGrange, Milo and Sebec, Medford is part of the Three Rivers Community in Piscataquis County, Maine.
