First settled in 1700, Gouldsboro, Maine is made up of five unique villages; Prospect Harbor, Birch Harbor, Corea, South Gouldsboro and Gouldsboro. Gouldsboro was named after one of its earliest landowners, Robert Gould, who first bought land in 1764. Gouldsboro is home to two nature preserves; Long Porcupine Island and The Forest Pond Marsh.
