When I visit the Southern Coast of Maine, I always make a stop for lunch or dinner at the famous Lords Harborside Restaurant. A favorite of locals and visitors alike for over 35 years, Lords has some of the freshest seafood available.
Lobster of course is a
main attraction on the menu and served in 14 different selections. Start with Lobster Stew, Lobster Salad, Boiled Lobster, Lobster Pie, Lazy Lobster, baked stuffed lobster and more. Throw in a few steamers, or mussels and away you go to a fabulous Maine dinner.
Other selections are their creamy Clam Chowder, Succulent Maine Shrimp, Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Shrimp Scampi and Fresh Haddock again your choice of six ways to be prepared. Other great selections are, Sole, Clams, Sc
allops, Swordfish, Salmon and Seafood Cakes. For the landlubber so to speak, Lord's also offers Chicken and Steaks dishes.
Try the desserts as well. My favorite is the Ice Cream Puff. A large cream puff shell filled with ice cream, topped with hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry. This is a perfect dessert to share.
Lord's does not take reservations, and get quite busy after 6 pm. They do encourage afternoon dinner by offering a 15% discount on the total check between 2:00 and 4:00pm Monday through Saturday. (Holidays Excluded) Because of this special total check discount, the discount only applies to those people seated after 2:00 and ordering their meal before 4:00.. Lord's is closed Tuesdays.
