Seashore Trolley Museum is pleased to announce its annual Pumpkin Patch Trolley weekend. This event is a great favorite with children, and has attracted over 500 visitors each day of the weekend. Pumpkin Patch passengers ride a trolley to Meserve’s Crossing, about halfway out the rail line. After disembarking on the platform, passengers pick pumpkins from the adjacent field (at no charge beyond regular admission fee). The pumpkins are “checked” with volunteers aboard historic Portsmouth, Dover & York Railways Mail Car #108, for pickup at the conclusion of the ride. Passengers then choose between completing their round-trip ride to the end of the line, or returning directly to the Visitors’ Center, where they match their claim tickets to their pumpkins. Children may decorate their pumpkins at Meserve’s Crossing with paints supplied by the Museum. Face painting and a moon bounce will also be available.
