Each spring the Moosehead Lake Region hosts a month long celebration honoring its favorite resident, the moose. Some of the activities include a canoe race, a mountain bike race and tour, rowing regatta, craft fair, kids' fun day, and the famous moose tales. This is a wonderful event for moose lovers everywhere. June 19th is the date of the informational session at the community house (starting at 4 p.m.), where moose are discussed in detail. Don't miss the demonstrations of moose calling, local artist interpretations of Moose and Moose d'oeuvres.
