5. Coastal fishing villages: Camden, Rockport. A great hike: Mt. Battle. The 800-foot summit offers a stunning view of the coastline. You can see Deer Isle, Isle au Haut, and Blue Hill. Pick blueberries.
6. Baxter State Park, Millinocket, ME. (Mt. Katahdin). A 200,000 acre park for rugged outdoor enthusiasts. Experienced hikers will love The Knife Edge, the narrow trail along Mt. Katahdin, the northernmost point on the Appalachian Trail.
7. Kennbunkport and York. Famous for Walker's Point, the summer residence of former president George Bush. Walk along the beach and look for sea glass. Tour Tom's of Maine in Kennebunk-- they are famous for their toothpaste and other all-natural health and beauty products. Take a walk along Marginal Way. See the towns by trolley. Hike Mt.
