This allows for more access points and makes it easier for everyone to get on the water.

Harbors dot all 3,500 miles of the coast, and there are plenty of marinas to park your boat. The Maine seacoast has a charm and quaintness all its own and should not be missed.

Some access points are graveled or hard-surface while others are only available at high-tide. It is also good to keep in mind that some of the lakes in Maine can only have small craft due to either the size of the lake or current preservation laws. It's always a wise move to check with the Division of Parks and Recreation before heading out, as there might be restrictions.
