Scarborough Downs Harness Racetrack is a popular southern Maine attraction. Scarborough Downs offers live harness racing action, generally from March to December.
Scarborough Downs is the largest and most active racetrack in the state of Maine and is home to New England's fastest half-mile track.
The Scarborough Downs track was designed by Charles Coon and Sons. The track has drawn rave reviews by horsemen throughout its fast-paced history.
Located at U.S. Route One in the picturesque town of Scarborough, Maine, eight miles south of Portland, it has established itself as a prime Maine landmark.
